Events as interactive as they should be.

With schnaq your audience asks questions, votes live and fills word clouds – from their phones, with a code and without signing up.

Participants don’t need an account. To create a schnaq, sign up for free.

How it works

Three steps to an interactive session

  1. Create a schnaq

Sign up for free, give your schnaq a name and add polls, word clouds or a Q&A.

  2. Share the code

Every schnaq has a link and an eight-digit code. Your audience enters it at schnaq.app or scans the QR code on the projector.

  3. Let everyone join in

People ask, vote and discuss – anonymously, without an account, on any device with a browser. You see the results live.

Features

Everything that brings a room to life

Combine the building blocks freely in one schnaq.

Live polls

Single choice, multiple choice and rankings. Results appear live or only when you reveal them – full screen on the projector in presentation mode.

Word clouds

Collect terms and watch the cloud grow. Export it as an image or CSV.

Q&A

Ask questions anonymously, upvote the most important ones and highlight good answers for everyone.

Activation

One button for everyone: ask the room a question and watch the counter show how many take part.

Discussions & mind map

Posts with replies for and against, including whiteboard sketches. schnaq arranges everything in a mind map automatically.

Feedback

Follow up after your event with your own forms and review the answers in one place.

Moderation

Delete posts, lock input and invite more moderators by email.

Your own design

Your colours, logo and header image, so the schnaq matches your event.

Embed & export

Embed it in your website or learning platform via iframe and take results with you as text, image or CSV.

From research into practice

schnaq is based on research into online discussions at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, where the founders Dr Christian Meter and Dr Alexander Schneider earned their doctorates on structured discussions.

Today schnaq GmbH in Düsseldorf keeps developing the app as an open-source project of schnaq Labs. Articles, interviews and dissertations are listed under Publications.
